Random Pictures of the Last Few Months

Here is just a look at some of the random pictures from the last few months.

Xander really likes to go in my closet and smell my clothes.

We went to see Sesame Street Live with Grandma & Grandpa Warwick. Xander really liked seeing Elmo.

Ariel was Sally in the spring musical You're a Good Friend Charlie Brown

Xander playing in the fountains downtown.

Xander learned how to peddle his bike this spring. Now he can go REALLY fast on his bike.

Patrick got Xander his own steering wheel for when he drives in the Jeep and he loves it.

Ready for the pool with his swim suit and new Spider Man sunglasses.

In the pool at the swim club. Xander has the best time swimming and has no fear of putting his head under the water.

After swimming he always asks to be wrapped up with Baba in the towels.

At the end of year preschool picnic Xander was driving these 2 girls around. Too funny!

My New Ride

Last year when Ariel got her license we made a deal with her.  If she followed our driving contract for one year she would inherit my car when I got a new car.  Well Ariel did a great job this past year and earned my car and it was time for me to get a new one.  Patrick and I have been talking about this purchase for a long time and after thinking it threw I wanted to get a minivan.  After weighing all my options a minivan seemed to be the best fit for our family for the next 10 plus years.  After test driving all the vans that were out there I decided the Town & Country was the van for me.  I’ve had it 2 days now and I love driving it.  Xander also loves it :)  He was very excited about getting a minivan.  So check out my new ride.  We took these picture right when we got home with it.

Xander & Ariel checking out the new minivan.

I love it :)

Xander wanted to try driving it.

Last Day of Preschool!

For the last day of preschool the entire school goes to the zoo.  Patrick took the day off of work and all 3 of us took the bus to the zoo.  Xander had a little bit of trouble with the change in routine at first.  But once we found his teacher at the zoo and started walking around with her we had a lot of fun.  Xander really liked riding the school bus to the zoo and it was a beautiful day to visit the zoo.  Xander did great in preschool this year and we’re looking forward to the fall.

He did not want his picture taken, but I insisted. Had to document the bus ride.

Xander was amazed by the birds.

Getting ready to eat lunch.

Checking out the Giraffe.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a fun and busy Memorial Day Weekend.  On Saturday, Patrick and Ariel went to the volunteen training at the Cincinnati Zoo.  Ariel is again working with the summer camp program at the Cincinnati Zoo as a volunteer.  This year she is able to handle some of the animals and she is really excited about that.  Then that night she and Patrick went to the Cappies Awards at the Aronoff Theater in Cincinnati.  The Cappies Awards are basically the High School version of the Tony Awards.  Here is Ariel all dressed up and ready to go.  She got a medal for her work with the Colerain Drama Club and the Cappies organization.

Then on Sunday we went up to Columbus for the night to visit with Brennan, Laura, and Kal-el.  We had a great time!  On Sunday we went to Cosi and then on Monday we went to the Columbus Zoo.  We had so much fun!

They traded shoes so Ariel could go on the unicycle.

Xander’s Preschool Spring Concert

In May Xander’s preschool had a spring concert at Colerain High School.  Every class got up on the stage and sang 1 or 2 songs.  Before the concert we brought Xander back to a classroom at the High School and it turned out that it was the room where Ariel had History.  We couldn’t help but wonder if Xander sat in Ariel’s seat that night :)  His class sang a song that said “hello” in several different languages.  We had no idea how Xander would react to the stage, lights, and all the people in the audience because there was no way to prepare him for it but he did awesome.  I don’t think he actually sang any words to the song but after the 1st verse he did begin to do the motions to the song.  It was so cute!

Xander is the REALLY tiny one!

Mother’s Day

OK, so I’ve been horrible about updating the blog and I am going to attempt to catch up!  Mother’s Day this year was wonderful because all of my kids were home!  Xander made me a very special gift in preschool.  On the actual day of Mother’s Day it was a little rough because he was in a horrible mood, but once we all took naps the day turned out great.  But even with the rough start to the day it was still great because he was home with us this year!!!!

Xander with his gift he made for me.

A few days before Mother’s Day Ariel came home from school with Cody and said she was taking Xander into the back yard and I wasn’t to peek out there.  About a 1/2 later I was invited into the backyard to see some of what they were up to.  I was greeted with “Happy Mother’s Day” written in chalk on the basketball court.

My actual gift from Ariel was a frame that said “Mom” in it with Xander holding M, Ariel holding O, and Schubie sitting next to M.  It was so cute!  She also got me a watering can, gardening gloves, and a hat.

My awesome kids!!!

Patrick and Xander surprised me with a beautiful hanging basket.  It was a wonderful Mother’s Day!
